Yeah I think it is pretty tough all round- I grow it outside at sea level and it gets very hot and humid as well as very hot and dry here and it survives. My plants look best in cool weather though. It wilts a bit on the really hot days but it usually perks up again! I like the ones with the narrow frond ends too but they are SO variable!

I have seen it growing in Singapore Matthew so if you can get a plant from a nursery give it a try!
