Lchsu, maybe you should try pushing caterpillar into sphagnum moss of platycerium.....grow big fronds

Caterpillars is one kind of pest, and snails is another.

However, I was not prepared to find WHO actually ate the young buds of my ferns - squirrels!
Not much I can do, since you don't want to harm them of course.

Hi, lchsu, why don't you try with some paraffin balls,now i am using that for my P.Ridleye it's very succsesful, normally we use that for cloths,you try this and see for my cycads too i am using this.For it's strong smell, even rats will not come.

Good idea. I will put some in my ferns.

yes, you try that and see it's,very effective, because i lost more that 07 ridley's for the last 3 years but now with paraffin, it's doing very well, even for the palms this is very good, since i lives in a coconut cultivation some of my ornamental palm were attacked by the beetles, i lost some beautiful Bismakia nobillis trees, after applying this now no problem at all try and see, all the best.
