I actually do not have a large collection of Cha-Ba. Only a few larger plants that along the side fence. Ultimate aim is to collect enough to line the entire stretch of the fence with rare & unique colors.

Currently in collection, Orange (single/double petels), Yellow (single/double petels), Pink (single/double petels), Red (single/double petels) ... hard to explain. Maybe some pictures eventually speaks more than words. But the collection is not that impressive but the blooms are really nice sights to behold when they are in their full splendor. 

ohh I know it. hahaha  we call it Cha-Ba.  I only have one that from Hawaii and white color.

Hibiscus is also known as national flowers of Malaysia.
(& the state flowers of eastern Malaysia is phal bellina).

i have planted some hibiscus before. but they are easily infected by mealy bug which i find them annoying.

I got only one, my sister likes it, but I have to keep an eye on it coz some insects...ants really like Chaba.  If ants bit me, oh!! really itchy!!

Btw, the Chaba by Roy should be pictures taken from our local farm. These are Chaba raised in highlands in Malaysia and can be pretty large and near plate size.

Chaba are susceptible to ants bringing in the alphids which are their food source. I usually try to solve the root cause of the problem which is the ants. So imagine me going around the garden, leaving no stones unturned, looking for ant nests. I notice that not all types of ants carry the alphids. So I only target my effort on a specific type of ants. They are easy to kill but they regain their community fast. 

Nice Chaba you have there. I have a identical one except that the color is in a much lighter shade of yellow.

you spray any pesticide?

Sometimes I use insecticides and white oil to control the problem. 

When the condition is very bad, I usually just cut the affected brunches away. 

When the condition is just starting, actually strong jet of water can temporary remove the alphids until the ants bring them back again
