oh I just knew that they have some difference in fronds, Thai and Malay.
in May I will take you to my friend's nursery who cultivates P. redleyi from spores. you will be excited as Roy. Roy can't sleep now, hehehe  m204 m204 m204

I think I have seen some pictures of that nursery - lots and lots of ridleyii!  I will definitely enjoy it 8)

We sent 'pest' to take photographs of platyceriums around Singapore.
These are some that he found. Some are natural near our Singapore nature reserve areas....


This Coronarium is very high in the tree...at least 60-80 feet up



This one is no so high...

actually p. coronarium are can also be seen on the road. you can see them at commonwealth, east coast etc. thanks to national park of singapore that grow them.

btw roy, may be you want to get your friend a new camera as a present since he is helping you to take the photos.

P. Coronariums along trees in highways. All planted by National Parks!!!
I think the Director of Singapore National Park was a platy lover back then!!!



Next few pics are taken fro Govt built public housing estates....also planted
